Severe weather warnings expire for Chicago area


Weather Alert: A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for Cook, DuPage, Kane, McHenry and Lake (IL) counties until 8:15 p.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for DeKalb, Kane, McHenry, Cook, DuPage and Lake (IL) counties until 11 p.m.

CHICAGO — Hot and humid conditions are in store for Tuesday.

A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. for counties South of Chicago including Grundy, Kankakee, LaSalle in Illinois and Jasper and Newton in Indiana.

Additionally, a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Kane, McHenry and DeKalb counties until 11 p.m.
