Radar indicates a cluster of thunderstorms producing very heavy rain moving from northern Iroquois and central-eastern Kankakee counties, northeastward toward Lake and northwest Newton counties in Indiana. rainfall rates of around 2″ per hour are estimated to have fallen across northern Ford and NW Iroquois counties as these storms moved through. Localized flooding can be expected this afternoon across eastern Kankakee and Lake counties through mid-afternoon.
