CHICAGO — With early Monday morning temperatures dropping into the middle-30s, the 35 to 40-degree temperature drop from late Sunday afternoon highs in the low to mid 70s is complete. Previously Sunday the Chicago area had experienced a 40-degree-plus rise in temperatures from that morning’s mid-20-degree lows.
For example Rockford warmed 48-degrees from 27-degrees Sunday morning to a 75-degree high between 4 and 5PM Sunday afternoon, then back to a 35-degree temperature at 4AM this Monday morning. Similarly, but not quite as large temperature swings occurred at other Chicago-area locations. Midway started with a Sunday morning low of 29-degrees – warmed to a late afternoon high of 71-degrees and rested at 36-degrees at 5AM this Monday morning.
Listed below are Sunday’s high/low temperatures and the lowest temperatures as of 5AM CDT this Monday morning.
