First snow flurries of season spotted in some parts of Chicago area


CHICAGO — The season’s first snow has been spotted in the region Friday and more snow showers and squalls are expected, possibly dropping visibility and capable of producing minor slushy accumulation.

Temperatures in low 40s. Winds: 17 mph WSW.

Some snow showers will be possible this evening. Low: 34F. Winds: W at 10 to 20 mph.

It will be breezy through the weekend. Saturday is expected to be dry, but snow and rain is likely again Sunday.
