CHICAGO -- Snow and then sun. More snow. Sun again.

The weather Saturday? Moody. And also very windy.

At times, the skies would clear and you would see the sun peeking out -- and then that hard snow would come down, leaving just a dusting, with pedestrians having to brace themselves against the wind.

Lavell Bolden lives in a basement apartment.  He said he had just pulled up outside this afternoon when a fierce wind gust blew the roof off the building, debris raining down on the sidewalk -- some of it landing across the street.

Chicagoland is under a wind advisory until 7 p.m., riding the weather roller coaster we call spring in Chicago.
