CHICAGO — White Sox relief pitcher Danny Farquhar remains in critical but stable condition at Rush University Medical Center after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm during Friday night`s game.

The 31-year-old passed out in the dugout during the sixth inning and was taken to the hospital, where testing showed a ruptured aneurysm was causing a brain bleed.

The team says he is continuing to receive treatment and close monitoring by Dr. Demetrius Lopez and the neurosurgical team.

Gregory Infante was recalled from AAA Charlotte to take Farquhar's spot on the roster in the meantime.

As a tribute to Farquar, the Sox are wearing his number 43 on their caps, the team simply saying: "it's for Danny."
