CHICAGO — White Sox relief pitcher Danny Farquhar remains in critical but stable condition at Rush University Medical Center after suffering a ruptured brain aneurysm mid-game.
It was during Friday night’s home game that Farquar recorded the last two outs of the 6th during a relief string. He launched 15 pitches, returned back to the dugout, and collapsed a short time later.
The White Sox said he regained consciousness before an ambulance took him from Guaranteed Rate Field to the hospital.
