CHICAGO — The White Sox set a new world record Tuesday night, but it had nothing to do with home runs or RBIs.

They hosted around 1,122 dogs at the game, the annual “Bark in the Park.” That’s the most dogs ever to attend a sporting event, and a new Guinness World Record.

In order for the record to count, they needed at least 1,000 dogs. The pooches had to stay in their seats for 10 minutes, starting at the top of the third inning. They not only complied, they came dressed for the occasion.

No word on whether they’ll attempt to set the world record for most cats in the stands.
