TAMPA, Fla. — The Chicago Blackhawks got a hard-earned victory Saturday night in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.

It was the Blackhawks’ second road win of the series, as they held off the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 to take a 3-2 series lead headed home for Game 6 with a chance to clinch the championship.

Antoine Vermette converted a rebound two minutes into the third period to secure the Blackhawks’ win. Patrick Sharp also scored for the Blackhawks, who are one win from their sixth championship in franchise history, and third in six years.
