CHICAGO - Hockey players are tough. Duncan Keith is no exception.
Keith lost seven teeth in the 2010 Western Conference Final after taking a puck to the mouth, only to return seven minutes later to finish the game.
Turns out he was back to his old tricks during the Stanley Cup Final last year - that's when he says he initially hurt his knee. Keith played through the pain the remainder of the series, even going on to win the Conn Smythe Trophy.
According to Coach Quenneville, Keith never mentioned he was hurt. Keith says he only opted to go through with the surgery after the pain resurfaced during the offseason.
Coach Q says he has his fingers crossed that Keith will be able to go next Saturday against the Blues, the first day he's eligible to return.
