(CHICAGO) -- Bulls point guard Derrick Rose participated in full contact practice for the first time Monday since undergoing right knee surgery Feb. 27.

Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said Rose looked "a little winded, which is to be expected. Body on body, full court. But it'll come. The more he does that, the faster it will come."

Thibodeau also said Rose looked aggressive and his conditioning will be the biggest barrier to getting back.

Ultimately, Rose's return will come down to his comfort level, says Thibodeau.

"Each week he's done a lot more," Thibodeau said. "This is the next step, so hopefully he'll be good."
