NEW YORK – Anthony Rizzo is going to need a bigger trophy case.

The Cubs All-Star first baseman has been the belle of the postseason ball, racking up a Gold Glove, a Silver Slugger and now a Rawlings Platinum Glove Award all within the span of a week.

His latest piece of hardware represents quite the accomplishment.

Only two players in Major League Baseball win the Platinum Glove as the best defensive player in their respective leagues.

Rizzo won for the National League and his World Series counterpart, Francisco Lindor, won for the American League.

The 27-year-old southpaw led the majors among first basemen with 125 assists and 11 defensive runs saved.
