Chicago River dyed ‘Cubbie Blue’ in honor of World Series champs

CHICAGO -- The Chicago River was dyed 'Cubbie Blue' in honor of the World Series champions, Chicago Cubs.

The process to dye the river started around 7:30 a.m. Friday between Michigan Ave and Columbus in downtown Chicago -- just hours before the Cubs parade and rally in Grant Park.

According to DNAinfo, the same family that dyes the river green every St. Paddy's Day weekend is handling the color-change.

Radim Svoboda said he took a photo of the river at about 8:45 a.m. Friday. Here's the picture he shared on Instgram:
