Chicago Cubs will kick off their 2017 season in prime time.

The Chicago Tribune reports the Cubs will open the season against the St Louis Cardinals on April 2 at 7:35 p.m. at Busch Stadium.

Initially, the Cubs were to face the Cards on April 3.

“The switch was made to accommodate a national television audience, although no formal announcement has been made,” the Tribune reports.

The Cubs’ home opener on April 10 against the Los Angeles Dodgers remains intact, for now.
