CHICAGO — The battle between the Cubs and Mets begins Saturday out east, but when the series shifts to Wrigley next week, the alderman in the area wants to make sure everyone is safe.

Tom Tunney tells the Chicago Sun-Times the Cubs and the ballpark will be on the world stage, and to keep safety in check, there will be a ban on glass containers for all the bars around Wrigley.

Occupancy will be strictly enforced, and bars that don’t cooperate could face immediate closure and fines.

There will be major parking restrictions, rerouted buses, and an army of security and paramedic support.
