CHICAGO – Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville has made it official: rookie goalie Scott Darling will start in net for Game 4 against Nashville Tuesday.

Corey Crawford was benched for Game 3 at the United Center.

Darling made his first-ever postseason start, and stopped 35 of 37 shots in the game. It was the first time since 2010 the Hawks started a rookie goalie in the playoffs.

Darling also relieved Crawford in Game 1 before the Hawks overcame a 3-goal deficit to win in double-overtime.

The Blackhawks currently lead the series 2-1 after their Game 3 win Sunday afternoon.
