Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane underwent successful surgery to repair a left clavicle fracture, the team announced Wednesday.

According to a statement by the Hawks, the procedure was performed at Northwestern Memorial Hospital by Blackhawks head team Physician Dr. Michael Terry and Dr. Bradley Merk.

The team said Kane is expected to make a full recovery in approximately 12 weeks.

Kane left Tuesday night’s game after the Florida Panthers’ Alex Petrovic checked him into the boards.

Kane’s left side hit the boards hard. He was bent over as he skated off the ice, and he did not return.
