CHICAGO – As his team ascends to the top of the standings in the entire NHL, Artemi Panarin continues to establish himself as one of the game’s youngest stars.

This past week should add some more credence to that thought.

After scoring double digits in points over the last four games, Panarin was named the NHL’s No. 1 star for the past week. It’s the first time he’s won that honor during the 2015-2016 season.

During the last four contest Panarin has collected three goals and seven assists while on the Blackhawks’ productive second line. He had two assists in a win over the Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday before scoring a pair of goals with an assist in a road win over the Islanders.

Panarin had a score and two more helpers in a win over the Blues in St. Louis on Saturday before completing his successful week with two assists in a victory over the Sharks Sunday at the United Center.

For the season, Panarin has 14 goals and 20 assists for the Blackhawks who currently sit at the top of the NHL with 48 points.
