CHICAGO – How will the Bears improve in the second year of the John Fox era?
Good question. He probably doesn’t know as the team continues to rebuild in the second year of the regime under himself and general manager Ryan Pace.
But at least Fox knows the path his team will take once they hit the field this September.
On Thursday after 7 PM the NFL released the 2016 schedule for all teams including the Bears in their NFL Network special.
The Bears will open the season on Sunday, September 11th on the road against the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium at 1 PM. The team’s home opener is the following Monday night against the Eagles at 7:30 PM at Soldier Field.
Once again the Bears play in primetime in Week 3 as they travel to AT&T Stadium to take on the Cowboys on Sunday, September 25th at 7:30 PM. The next prime time game is against the rival Green Bay Packers on Thursday, October 20th at Lambeau Field.
Eleven days later the Bears are back on Monday Night Football for a Halloween match-up with NFC North foe Minnesota on October 31st.
The rest of the schedule features noon games after that including the Packers’ visit to Soldier Field on Sunday, December 18th. Fox and the team will play a Saturday game on Christmas eve as they host the Redskins at Soldier Field.
