OKLAHOMA CITY — A 12-year-old boy wrote to all 32 teams in the NFL a couple of weeks ago to help settle an inner debate: which team should he root for, and why?

According to KSLA in Louisiana, sixth grader Cade Pope wrote the teams asking why he should root for their franchise.

One team seemed genuinely interested in Pope’s fandom. The boy reportedly received a package, and inside it was a replica Carolina Panthers helmet signed by their star linebacker, Luke Kuechly.

Also in the package was a handwritten note from Jerry Richardson, the team’s owner.

“Cade, we would be honored if our Carolina Panthers became your team,” the letter reportedly read.

The boy told KSLA the Panthers would be his choice if he doesn’t hear from any other team.
