CHICAGO – Dreams of a World Series will have to wait for another season.
Cubs fans have sure heard that a lot and the refrain has returned in 2015.
The upstart team ran into a red hot Mets team in the National League Championship Series and lost four-straight, with the final defeat coming Wednesday night at Wrigley Field in Game 4.
While it may seem like the usual North Side baseball letdown there is a little less gloom after another playoff exit. The Cubs will return the majority of their team next year and almost all of them are in the first few years of their career, leaving the window of success open for the near future.
Connor McKnight of WGN Radio covered the team during their entire playoff run and came on Sports Feed to discuss the season on Thursday night. To watch his segments with Josh Frydman and Jarrett Payton, click on the video above and below.
