NEW YORK (AP) — A desperate dad told the driver who had just backed up into a New York City fast food restaurant: “Move forward, move forward, you’re on my kids!”
That’s according to a court complaint released as driver Kwasi Oduro was arraigned Friday night on charges of leaving the scene of a Bronx accident that killed a 7-year-old boy and injured his sister and father.
Oduro’s lawyer hasn’t immediately returned a call after court.
The complaint says the 73-year-old Oduro’s Mercedes SUV plowed into the restaurant Thursday evening, hitting the three, and then drove off. A traffic agent stopped him.
The boy, Ethan Villavicencio, suffered a collapsed lung and died. His father, Manny Figueroa, and 5-year-old sister, Maya Figueroa, had cuts and bruises.
