The Chicago Cubs may get an important endorsement today for their plan to renovate Wrigley Field.

The team’s owners agreed to shrink a new Jumbotron screen in left field by one-fourth, and shrink a proposed right field billboard by one-third.

The Commission on Chicago Landmarks will meet today to approve the new signage.

The Chicago Plan Commission and the City Council Zoning Committee must still review the Cubs’ plan to extend the park’s outfield bleachers, build a pedestrian bridge over Clark St. and build a new hotel across the street.
