On the 78th anniversary of “The Night of Broken Glass” hundreds of people were at the Illinois Holocaust Museum and Education Center to listen to the story of a woman who was 19 that night tell the story of what happened to her.
Marianne Schwab recounted how men stormed into her home and ransacked it, forcing her family to run for their lives. Schwab shared how she was able to survive and stressed the importance of remembering history.
