Woman rescued from house fire in Riverdale

A woman in her 50’s was rescued from a burning home in Riverdale.

The fire broke out just before midnight, in a bedroom of this home on Emerald Avenue.

It took firefighters about two hours to put it out.

The woman was discovered on a back porch.

She was alone in the house.

She is being treated for smoke inhalation at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey.

No word yet on her name or condition.
