CHICAGO – A woman was killed on her birthday in a shooting that left four other people wounded, two critically, in the Longwood Manor neighborhood Thursday night.

Chanda Foreman celebrated her 37th birthday by having dinner with her friends downtown. Around 9:45 p.m. Thursday, Foreman was sitting in her car near her aunt's house on the 9600 block of S. Loomis when a gold Buick LaSabre holding four people pulled up and two gunmen opened fire from the back seat.

Foreman was shot in the head and killed.  Witnesses say a woman sitting in the car with her and three people sitting on the front porch of Foreman's aunt's house were  also injured.

Two men were taken to Christ Medical Center in critical condition.  One, 25 years old, was shot in the arm, side, and back, and the other, 33, was shot in the neck. Police say they both have documented gang ties. Two other women, ages 45 and 54, were wounded but are in fair-to-serious condition.

Family said Foreman worked in customer service at Comcast and was the mother of a six-year-old girl.

Police said the shooting was gang-related.
