CHICAGO — A woman is dead after a house fire in Back of the Yards early Saturday morning, police said.
According to police, firefighters and officers responded to a house fire in the 5900 block of South Winchester Avenue around 4:18 a.m. and found a woman unresponsive.
The woman was pronounced dead on the scene and the incident is being investigated.
