CHICAGO -- A woman was shot and killed while riding in a car near U.S. Cellular Field.

The shooting happened in 3800 block of South Princeton Avenue just before 10 p.m. Friday night.

The driver of the car drove for about two miles, to the 4700 block of South State Street and flagged down paramedics.

The woman, who was sitting in the back seat, had been shot in the back.

She was taken to Stroger Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Police say it does not appear the 30-year-old woman was the intended target.

Numerous shell casings were found where the shooting occurred.

No arrests have been made.
