CHICAGO — A 40-year-old woman was shot and killed Tuesday evening during a domestic incident in the city’s West Town neighborhood.

Fire officials said the woman was shot inside an apartment building on the 2200 block of West Grand Avenue.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting.

People who were walking by the area said they saw a man get taken into a police vehicle.

No further information was provided.
