CHICAGO, Ill. -- Witnesses tell WGN Illinois State Police shot and injured a man in the South Loop Saturday night.

It's believed the incident started with an apparent carjacking of a BMW on the Southwest Side.

That led to a confrontation on Cermak just off the Dan Ryan Expressway, where you can clearly hear shots fired on cell phone video from a viewer.

That car then took off to the South Loop where police eventually caught up with it in the area of 11th and Wabash.

Two people could be seen being arrested in that area.  Another man was taken to Stroger hospital with an apparent gunshot would.

Illinois State Police are not yet commenting on the incident.
