Wisconsin man in custody in connection with women found in suitcases

Authorities in Wisconsin have a man in custody in connection with the death of two women found in suitcases along a country road earlier this month.

According to police in Geneva, Wis. 52-year-old Steven Zelich of West Allis, Wisconsin was taken into custody today.

The body of 37-year-old Laura Simonson from Farmington, Minnesota and the body of a yet to be identified woman were found in suitcases on June 5th on the side of North Como Road in the Town of Geneva.

Authorities say the need the public’s help in identifying the second woman. She is described as possibly Caucasian, age 15 to 35, 5’2” – 5’4”, 120 – 140 lbs with long, straight dark brown or black hair. She has two piercings in each ear, and a quarter sized heart tattoo on the lower left abdomen/pelvic area.

Police did not release any additional details on Zelich or the investigation.
