MILWAUKEE — A man wanted in connection to the death of the mother of a missing 2-year-old from Milwaukee was arrested Wednesday.
Milwaukee police said they arrested Dariaz Higgins, 34, the man accused in connection with a double shooting that prompted an Amber Alert on Monday, WITI reports. Higgins was arrested near 103rd Street and Caldwell Avenue just before 1 p.m.
Higgins was accused of killing 24-year-old Sierra Robinson and wounding another woman on Milwaukee’s northwest side Monday. Police said Higgins was also wanted for abducting his and Robinson’s 2-year-old daughter, Noelani Robinson.
The Ambert Alert is still active for Noelani as police continue to search for her.
Police said a second individual was arrested for harboring and aiding a fugitive, WITI said.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel said police are asking people to share photos of the girl and Higgins on their social media.
