CHICAGO — The tarp is on the field, but the matchup between the Chicago White Sox and the Minnesota Twins is expected to resume around 5:25 p.m. Sunday after thunderstorms forced a rain delay Sunday afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Chicago issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning as storms crossed the area. After going into rain delay, the White Sox said they expected to lift it after an hour or two.

Just before 5 p.m., the White Sox tweeted they expected the game to resume around 5:25 p.m. TV viewers can watch the game on WGN.
