CHICAGO — One of the viewers of the WGN Weekend News is noticing something in his garden this August.

Taylor Trimby’s perennial flowers, ornamental grasses are growing quickly and he’s wondering when the best time to transplant them might be.

WGN’s Tim Joyce had an answer for him in his “Weekend Gardening” segment as the “Plant Daddy” gives Taylor tips on when to move these items in her garden.

Along with answering this question, Joyce also told a viewer about ways to prevent critters from eating items in the yard.
