The new WGN America series “Manhattan” takes viewers back to the secret World War II project that led to the creation of the atomic bomb. Sam Rubin at our sister station KTLA has a preview.

WGN Chicago will have a one-time airing of the premiere episode of “Manhattan” this Sunday, July 27 at 10 p.m. After that, the rest of the series will be on WGN America, Sundays at 9 p.m. CT.

In the Chicago area, WGN America is only available on DIRECTV Channel 307 and DISH Network Channel 239.

“Manhattan” will also be available on XFINITY On Demand.
