Chicago Police say a West Side man was arrested after he shot at two men who allegedly stole his mini-van.
Wilfrido Cruz, 44, of the 4300 block of West Cullerton Street, is facing one felony count of aggravated discharge of a firearm.
He reportedly called police just after 6 p.m. Saturday to report his Dodge Grand Caravan was stolen from his home.
After he spoke with officers, Cruz reportedly found his mini-van two blocks away and opened fire on the two suspects.
No one was hurt and the men ran off.
The officers say they heard the gun shots.
They discovered Cruz returned to his home and tried to hide the handgun.
Cruz had two semi-automatic handguns, a revolver and a rifle in his house.
He’s charged with firing one of the handguns.
He’s scheduled to appear in bond court Sunday.
