A person was arrested after a hijacking scare aboard an international flight this morning.

It happened on a Virgin Australia flight from Brisbane to Bali, Indonesia.

The airline says a drunken passenger started acting aggressively, and tried to break into the cockpit.

The pilot sent a distress call to the Bali airport. The tower interpreted the call as a hijacking.

Security vehicles surrounded the plane when it landed.

But by that time, the passenger had already been handcuffed by the crew.

Virgin Australia now says it wasn’t an attempted hijacking.

Local media identified the passenger as an Australian citizen.

He’s being interrogated in Indonesia.

The other passengers were taken off the plane. No one got hurt.
