CHICAGO -- One of the more than 300 videos that Chicago's Independent Police Review Authority released Friday shows an off-duty officer getting into a scuffle with a Canadian man at a Portillo's.

WARNING: Video contains graphic language. Viewer discretion advised.

In June 2014, off-duty CPD officer Khaled Shaar was working security at Portillo's, 100 W. Ontario, when he told Terrance Clarke he had to leave the restaurant at closing time. Clarke refused, and that's when Shaar tried to arrest him.

The video shows Shaar in blue t-shirt and khakis grab the suspect wearing a Blackhawks jersey. When the suspect fights back, the officer punches him several times and then grab handcuffs.

A police report states that the suspect threw a chair at the officer, but that incident does not occur in the video.

Shaar has been on the force since 1999.
