Before she was transferred National Institutes of Health Hospital in Maryland, Ebola patient Nina Pham spoke from her bed in her hospital room in Texas.

In a video posted on YouTube, Pham is visited by her treating physician, Dr. Gary Weinstein, who recorded his conversation with her before she was discharged from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital.

In the video, Weinstein thanks her for getting well and for being part of the volunteer team who took care of Eric Thomas Duncan, the first Ebola patient in the United States. Then she starts to cry.

Doctors say Pham is upbeat and has improved a lot in a short period of time.

They say moving her was the right decision because dozens of their workers in the intensive care unit are being monitored for Ebola.

Pham asked for the video to be shared online.
