WILLOWICK, Ohio -- The display of an American flag caused a dispute between an Ohio veteran and his apartment complex.

Keith Ludwig said his complex told him Thursday he would have to remove his American flag that was hanging on his balcony.

Ludwig's lease prohibits anything from hanging from or being affixed to the balconies. But he pointed out other visible flags on balconies at the complex as well as a few satellite dishes mounted outside of units.

He said he has been living in his apartment for more than two years and this was the first time it has been brought to his attention.

Ludwig says after the media attention, the apartment complex called him and told him that he will be allowed to keep his flag.
