Police are searching for a suspect who has vandalized slides at a playground on the southwest suburbs.

Police say the person responsible used drywall screws and drove them into two plastic slides at a Memorial Park in Oak Lawn.

Police say they are certain the act was meant to do harm.

The screws were immediately removed.

It is not the only case of kids suffering from vandalism with violent intentions.

Last March in East Moline, a published report says a 2-year-old boy cut himself on razor blades that were glued to playground equipment. Razor blades were also found duct taped to playground equipment in a Philadelphia suburb last April.
