A Nordstrom employee who was shot by her ex-boyfriend inside the company’s Magnificent Mile store has died.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identifies the woman as Nadia Ezaldein. She turned 22 years old on the day she was shot.

The shooting happened at about 8:20 p.m. Friday night in the North Bridge Shops in the busy shopping area along the Mag Mile.

Police say the man, identified as 31 year old Marcus Dee, was targeting the Ezaldein.

He shot and killed himself after shooting her.

Family members of the victim say Dee was the Ezaldein’s ex-boyfriend.

They say the Dee tormented Ezaldein and several members of their family after the break up.

There were no other injuries reported.

Nordstrom was closed Saturday. The store will reopen Sunday.
