Twinkies, Hostess back on store shelves today

twinkiesAfter an 8-month hiatus, Twinkies will be back on our grocery store shelves.

Hostess is now owned by two private equity firms.

The firms bought the brands for $410 million when hostess abruptly shut down amid labor band financial, troubles in November.

Twinkies snack will have a slightly different recipe that will extend their shelf life by about three weeks.

Also returning are Ding Dongs and Suzy Q’s, but you won’t see a return of Hostess strawberry cupcakes.
