Tribune splitting assets into 2 companies

All of the businesses that are owned by Tribune company, are being split into two separate companies. Tribune Tower

Tribune Company will remain as the home to WGN-TV, WGN Radio, and other broadcasters from across the country.

But newspapers, like the Chicago Tribune, will be part of another company called, “Tribune Publishing.”

So far this is not affecting any of the programming or content.

Tribune says separating its broadcasters from its publishers will keep the companies flexible while maintaining shareholder value.
