CHICAGO — Grandpa Rossy — aka Chicago Cubs catcher David Ross — is encouraging fans to vote for the team for team for the 2016 All-Star Game…with a rotary dial phone.

In a cheesy commercial posted to the team’s social media accounts, Ross tries to text #VoteCubs on the phone. It’s hilarious.

The Colorado Rockies had the best response on Twitter: “Well played, Cubs. Almost had to #VoteCubs solely for the genius of this video. Then, we remembered everyone already has…”

So far, several Cubs players are leading their positions in the voting.

The voting will end on Thursday, June 30, at 11:59 p.m. EST. Fans can vote up to five times in any 24-hour period for a maximum of 35 times. Here’s where you can vote: www.mlb.com/vote
