One year after a Florida man was acquitted of killing teen Trayvon Martin, Martin's family participated in a rally to raise awareness about racial profiling.

Martin's parents led the rally and march in Los Angeles. NBA star Kobe Bryant was among the participants.

A jury found neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman not guilty of killing of the 17-year-old due in part to Florida's stand your ground law.

It allows someone to use justifiable force in self-defense.

Trayvon Martin was unarmed.
