Tornado touches down briefly in downstate Illinois

A tornado briefly touched-down in downstate Mount Olive, which is just outside St. Louis, Monday night.

Forty homes and businesses were damaged in a four-block area.

Officials say it was at least an EF2 tornado that passed through, packing winds up to 125 miles per hour.

Crews have moved the Clerk’s Office from City Hall, and the police department has also been relocated.

No injuries were reported.
