NEW YORK — TLC is officially canceling “19 Kids and Counting.”

The hit reality show “will no longer appear on the air,” the network said.

The show about the Duggar family had been frozen since May following allegations that 27-year-old Josh Duggar molested five children, including four of his sisters, a dozen years earlier.

The show ran for 10 seasons, following the life of Arkansas couple Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar and their 19 children.

TLC has also teamed with two prominent child-protection organizations for a campaign to raise awareness about child sexual abuse. They will begin with a one-hour documentary in late August.

The Duggar family released a statement saying:

“It is our prayer that the painful situation our family went through many years ago can point people toward faith in God and help others who also have lived through similar dark situations to find help, hope and healing, as well…We look forward to working with TLC on this upcoming special documentary and hope that it is an encouragement to many.”
