NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Three cases of sexual assault have been reported on the campus of Notre Dame University during the first week of classes.
Campus police are working with county prosecutors on one of the cases but no charges have been filed.
Authorities say the victims in the other two cases did not want to pursue criminal charges.
Notre Dame Scholastic Magazine tweeted a photo showing those gathered in prayer in response to the sexual assault reports.

In a letter to the editor in the student newspaper, The Observer, Fr. David Kashangaki wrote: “As a Notre Dame family we are failing these students when we let them go out each weekend vulnerable to being assaulted. It is time to …. put an end to the what is becoming predictable Monday morning stories of reported sexual assaults.”
