Thousands of people at one of Chicago’s most famous skyscrapers had no use for the elevator today and it was all for a good cause.

Today was the annual Hustle Up The Hancock fundraising event.

Each year more than 4,000 people climb the stairs at the John Hancock Center. Some do the full 94 floors, others do the 52-floor half climb.

The event raises more than one million dollars for the Respiratory Health Association to promote healthy lungs and fight lung disease.
